BMJ Design, Inc. is a family owned business and operated by Bobby & Tenya Ingalls, married 21 happy years with three children after whom the business is named.
Bobby has lived in Denham Springs for over 30 years and is a graduate of Denham Springs High School while Tenya hails from the northern Idaho town of St. Maries. They both hold bachelor's degrees from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri - Bobby's degree is in Business Management & Marketing and Tenya's is in Theatre, where she first learned about faux finishing while decorating theatre sets, which Bobby helped to build.
Before starting a decorative concrete business in 2006, Bobby had worked in the insurance and banking industry as well as human resources. Tenya was a stay-at-home mom who home-schooled their three children and did mural and faux finish painting on the side. Late in 2005, God inspired them and provided the means for them to open their own business, leading them to a website about concrete engraving. The rest is history, as they say.
BMJ Design has grown to include more than just simple acid staining and saw cut tile patterns. We now offer overlay products, sand-blasted and engraved designs, as well as faux finished concrete and murals. We also work with general contractors who can pour and finish new concrete slabs for our clients, when necessary. The combination of Bobby's good business sense and Tenya's artistic creativity have been a recipe for success! What a great blessing from God!
The Ingalls family is active in Lifepoint Church of Denham Springs, where Bobby is an elder and Tenya administrates Women's Ministries. They both participate in the worship team in various roles - as well as other aspects of church life. Their children are heavily involved in the Lifepoint Youth program, leading in youth worship, dance and Bible studies with peers.
It is our sincere prayer that we may continue to bless others through our personal lives as well as through BMJ Design - for the glory of Jesus Christ!
Recently, God has led Bobby and Tenya to branch out in another business endeavor, Cross-Culture global gift gallery. This is a FAIR TRADE boutique located in the historic downtown shopping area of Denham Springs. Exposure to and participation in missionary efforts brought to light the need for talented, yet disadvantaged, artisans around the world to have an equitable market for their goods. At Cross-Culture, everything is handmade, from African baskets and Nicaraguan pottery to locally crafted artisan jewelry and fiber art (quilts). Please check out the link below to find out more about FAIR TRADE and the unique offerings for sale at the gallery.
