- What is my purpose?
- Is there really a God?
- Why do I exist?
- Does God care about me?
- Can I be good enough for God to let me into Heaven?
- What happens when I die?

At some point in their life, everyone has to begin to ask themselves these questions.
Why? Because there is something in all of us that longs to know our meaning in the universe. That something is the yearning in our souls to have purpose. God created that yearning inside of YOU!
YES! You are here because God created YOU and he made you in a very WONDERFUL and REMARKABLE way!

He made you to be like Himself -- with an eternal soul. This is why you long to know a meaningful purpose for your existence. That purpose can only be found in a relationship with God himself, but there is a problem...

What is sin? Sin is anything short of being perfect. Sin is when you tell a lie, any lie, feel angry with someone unjustly, disobey your parents, etc. Sin is missing the mark of God's perfect holiness.
In other words, sin is living MY life the way I want to live it, without regard for what God has to say about how I SHOULD live. God says in the Bible - God's own word to man - that EVERYONE has sinned. ALL of us are imperfect!

When God created Adam and Eve, they were perfect. But, they chose to disobey God, and that was sin. Through them, all people are born into sinfulness.

Sin separates us from God because He is holy and perfect. However, God wants to have a relationship with YOU!

Everyone has sinned - fallen short of God's perfect holiness
There is a penalty for sin - death (All of us will die physically, but the true death is eternal separation (in hell) from God, without any hope of being right with Him.)
He wants to spare us from that penalty. God Himself provided a substitute to take the penalty for us - Jesus Christ, God's One and Only Son, is our substitute. He suffered the penalty when He chose to die on the cross. BUT ---- He conquered death because He came back to life and lives in heaven today - Your living Savior!

Without faith in Christ and what He did for you on the cross, you cannot find purpose for your life.

You may be wondering--- Exactly what does it mean to have faith in Jesus Christ? Well, faith is more than just BELIEVING something in your mind; it is ACTING on what you believe. It is speaking it out, acting it out, walking it out on a day to day basis.
EXAMPLE: I can understand and believe everyday of my life that my dining room chair will hold me up if I sit down on it. But, if I never actually act out sitting on that chair day after day, I truly have no faith in what I believe and understand in my mind.
It is the same with putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

- Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for YOUR SIN
- Jesus was buried in a grave because of YOUR SIN
- God raised Jesus from the grave so that Jesus overcame death, the penalty for YOUR SIN
- Jesus lives today so that YOU can live an ABUNDANT life full of purpose

Just talk to God about it.... He will hear you! Prayer is just talking to God. Tell Him the following:
- I know and understand that I am a sinner and I deserve the penalty for that sin.
- I need You (God) to forgive me of my sin.
- I believe that Jesus died just for me and took the penalty I deserve.
- I want You (God) to come into my life and take it over. I want you to be the boss.
- I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and in what He did for me.
- I thank You (God) that you provided the way for me to be made right with you.
If you have talked to God about the list of things above, you are now made right with Him and He will give you purpose for your life. His own Spirit now lives in you to help you and guide in the ways that are right. YOU ARE NOW A NEW CREATION!

Your new life with God is a life of TRUST and OBEDIENCE. It is a RELATIONSHIP with the God who created you and all of the universe around you.
In order to make that relationship thrive and grow, you must do a couple of important things:
Find a church that clearly teaches the Word of God and become an active member of it.
Spend time with God each day in prayer and by reading your Bible.
